The type of sandstone can vary the coverage rate, due to its porosity. Polished sandstone cover rates are generally higher. The sealer itself is suitable more all forms of sandstone. Hope that helps. Josh@Smartseal

@@tidybrickslandscaping The Dry Finish sealer can be used on all forms of Sandstone. The use of colour enhancer or wet look sealer is not advised on Kandla Grey Sandstone. The mineral composition of Kandla Grey Sandstone means that any type of colour enhancing sealer can go patchy. Hope that helps. Nigel@Smartseal

Hello Paul, thanks for your comment. Yes, the product should only be used sparingly, responsibly and only when a patio has been badly neglected. Hopefully by helping people look after their patio's better, it reduces the need to have the surface replaced. This in itself would reduce environmental damage by not having to excavate natural resources or manufacture paving products, cement, concrete, etc, Regards, Nigel@Smartseal

If you have efflorescence on your charcoal blocks, ideally this should be treated before sealing. The sealer itself (samples available) will leave the blocks looking damp, generally this does disguise/mask the white marks. Hope that helps. Alex@Smartseal

We supply a specific coloured sealer for Paving Slabs, called Patio ColourSeal you can see the 'how to' guide on RUclips channel. This is a thinner viscosity that will soak better into Patio Slabs. Hope that helps. Jacob@Smartseal

The more coats you apply, the shinier it will become. Over time, it will always 'dull down' It will cover mortar residue, yes. This is a solvent based sealer. Not water based. Samples are available for testing. Hope that helps. Nigel@Smartseal

We would suggest repairing with either a sand and cement mix. Or some form of 'sweep in' pointing compound. Any variations of colour in the pointing would be masked by the coloured patio sealer. Hope that helps. Josh@Smartseal

We would suggest trying a sample (available through our website) and seeing if the masonry cream achieves what you are looking for when applied to plaster.

The brick sealer is water resistant. It would not provide a long term waterproof barrier if the swimming pool was absorbing water. George@Smartseal

We do have a clear wood sealer that could be applied, the alternative would be an oil (which we do not supply) In our experience, we would suggest avoiding coloured staining products. Hope that helps. Nigel@Smartseal

Hello Andy, when the block paving and the sand get wet, they quickly become impermeable. The effect of sealing the blocks and sand is hardly going to change this. The soaking away of water on any driveway is determined by the 'falls' being set out correctly when the driveway is laid and adequate drainage being put in place. Hope that helps, Nigel@Smartseal
